Wendall Crandell

March 28, 1978 — July 28, 2021

Wendall Briant Crandell, 43, passed away in his sleep July 28, 2021.

Wendall was born in Florence and raised in Heber. Wendall attended and graduated from Mogollon High School, which is where he found his love for football and the weight room.

Wendall attended the Police Academy at Eastern Arizona College. After graduating the Police Academy, he went to work for Willcox Police Department. Wendall spent two years there then lateraled over to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. He worked there as a motor officer for several years.

Wendall worked and owned a gym for several years then sold it before getting back into Law Enforcement as a Detention Officer. Wendall promoted to a Detention Sergeant for many years. He then left to become a Haul Truck Driver for Freeport-McMoRan which he enjoyed since driving large trucks was a passion, he shared with his own father who passed in 2004.

Wendall is survived by: his three amazing children, Mikayla Crandell, Braiden Crandell and Brittney Crandell; his loving mother, Cheryl Crandell; three siblings, Clint Crandell, Jamie Reidhead, and Mark Crandell.

Wendall was happiest when he was surrounded by his kids & loved making memories with them. He is so proud of his kids and loves to brag about them. He loved cooking, golfing, Tom Brady (Mikayla swears he would’ve left any girl for Tom Brady), hot pickles, and being the life of the party! Wendall Crandell has touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed by everybody who knew him.

A celebration of life service for Wendall will be conducted Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Heber Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 11:00 a.m.
