Troy Falkner

Troy was born in Silver City, New Mexico, to Bennie and Evelyn (Baker) Falkner, on December 1, 1970. At the time of his birth they resided in Reserve, New Mexico. Approximately three years later he and his family moved to Duncan, Arizona. A year later the family moved to Safford, where he resided for entirety of his life.

Troy attended school at Solomon Elementary and Grace Tabernacle Church school. When he was approximately 13 years old he started to work with his father and brother, Rusty, at their business: Falkner and Sons auto garage. He learned auto front end and radiator work, along with some welding. Troy worked at a few other automotive businesses along with a welding business and sand and gravel business. 

Troy retired due to degenerative joint issues and injuries to his spine more than ten years ago.

Throughout his life he had a wonderful sense of humor, sometimes you could see in his face that he had some sort of comeback to say before you even got what you were saying finished. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading Louis L’amour and other western books, and watching old movies. He loved spending time with family. He would attend family BBQ’s and most any other get togethers.

Troy was proceeded in death by: his parents; Bennie Falkner and Evelyn (Baker) Falkner. 

He is survived by: three siblings, Candy (Falkner) Clonts (Preston), Terry (Falkner) Diaz, and Rusty Falkner (Dianne); eight nieces and nephews, and thirteen great nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10:00 am. at the Grace Tabernacle Church, located at 401 W Relation St, Safford, AZ.
