Rod Gilbert

Rodney Earl Gilbert, of Safford, entered life eternal Sunday evening, May 26, 2019, in Potrero, California, surrounded by his loving family. Rod was 72. Rod was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, to Otis and Thelma Hood Gilbert. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He served his country for 17 1/2 years. Rod is survived by: his loving wife, Alma Elain Gilbert; his three sons, Rodney Earl Gilbert II, Ansara Eugene Gilbert and Zebulon Yossarian Gilbert; his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rod was preceded in death by: his son, Charles Edward Gilbert and his parents. A Celebration of Rod's Life will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mt. Graham Chapel.
