Born July 18, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Mary Gaglio (Calandro) and Augustine Gaglio.
In her early years, Rita was a professional singer and performed at many nightclubs in Manhattan including the Copacabana where she was one of the “world famous” Copa girls.
Rita moved to Safford in 1991 and enjoyed many years there with her husband Russell. She loved watching the Diamondbacks, working on crossword puzzles, swimming in her pool, and playing with her dogs.
