Rick Ullery

Rickie Ullery, of Pima, entered life eternal Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Tucson Medical Center. He was 74.

Rickie Duane Ullery lived a full and happy 74 years. He is survived by: his beloved wife, LaRee Ullery; and his 8 children, Robert (Sherri) Ullery, Gary (Marcy) Ullery, John Ullery, Andrew (Shantelle) Ullery, Crystal (Nathan) Gwilliam, Mary (Willey) Biggs, Marcie (Jake) DeVoogd, Callie (Tyler) Streeter.

He was greeted in Heaven by: his mother, Virginia Lee; and his, father Jackie Duane Ullery.

Rick lived a full life serving the Lord and others. He was able to spend his last few years working in the Gila Valley Arizona Temple with his wife. Four weeks ago he fulfilled the last item on his bucket list - a successful hunt of a bull elk.

Rick and LaRee cherished their children and grandchildren, especially working in the garden, hunting with them and enjoying the treats of tea parties. Rick was an amazing grandpa, father and husband. He is dearly missed.

It was so sad to hear about Rick. Rick, LaRee and I went to Antelope High
School together. We developed a great friendship formed around school activities, sports and weekends. Rick and I spent countless weekends together exploring the vast Wellton Mohawk Valley from end to end in an old beat up pickup. We bounced along every canal and dirt road looking for adventure. We chased ducks accross the valley and knew where every pool of water was located on the Gila River. We searched for carp in the canals with a bow at hand. We knew where to find the dove and quail. We were the newer version of Lewis and Clark. We also spent hours extracting the truck from many stuck situations. Of course we had and eye on the girls and Rick was fortunate enough to capture the heart of the only one he had and eye for. Those memories that we shared are special and will remain with me forever. Rest in Peace Rick

LaRee, I'm so sorry to just read about Rick. I learned he was a gentle man while serving with you both in the temple. May you have peace knowing families are eternal. Love you! Diane Junion

"LaRee and family: I feel so bad about Rick's passing, I talked to him a little while he was in the ER. That was when I learned you both had covid. Uncle Harold and I had a lot of good times with Jack & Virginia, Rick and Randy growing up. Both there in Arizona and in Ohio. Uncle Harold was an outdoors person and a carpenter, too. The Ohio family's all feel as badly as I, but we cannot be there, some of us are getting older and not so easy to travel. We love all of you and prayers and hugs are sent your way, our thoughts are with all of you. Will talk to you soon. Love, Aunt Eileen
