Pearl Cauthen

Leona Pearl Cauthen, age 85 and a resident of Pima, went to be with Heavenly Father early Saturday morning, April 15, 2023, at her residence, after a very aggresive cancer took control of her body.

Pearl was born to Lavora and Thomas Colvin on March 1, 1938 in Eden, Arizona. She was the fourth of six children. Pearl was born with a mother's care for others. She spent her whole life in service and caring for family, friends and at times strangers. Pearl and her family moved around a lot but she always called Eden her home.

Pearl married her first husband, Neal Joyner, and from this union she had two children. This marriage was very brief. Following this separation, Pearl and her children moved home to Eden. It was there at her parent's home she met the man who became the love of her life. They married in 1956. This happy union was blessed with four chidren, bringing the total to six. Pearl was very devoted to her family, friends and church.

Pearl had many productive and relaxing hobbies to help keep her busy. These were crocheting for family and craft sales, reading, watching the Diamondbacks, going to the casino and of course, spending time with her family.

Pearl was greeted in Heaven by her husband, George; her parents, Levora and Thomas; three sisters, Dorothy, Mildred and Madge; her brother, Jay; her daughter, Vicki; her son, Herb; and sadly her brother, Tom, completed the family six days after Pearl's passing.

Pearl leaves behind four children, Jimmy (Becky), Art (Ruby), Everett (Jen) and Diane; 24 Grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild in the oven; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to carry on her memories.

Funeral services for Pearl will be conducted Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the Pima Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Brendan Cluff of the Pima Fourth Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Eden Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, April 29, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., at the Junior Sunday School of the Pima Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
