Marilyn May Dooley, of Clifton, entered into rest Monday afternoon, August 24, 2020, at her residence following a valiant fight with cancer. She was 60. Marilyn was born to Marjorie Mae Pilkinton and Robert Elwood Webb on January 12, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Clifton, Arizona, in 2002. Marilyn was an active member of the American Legion Post 28 in Clifton, and gave many hours of volunteer service there. Marilyn served as the Democratic first and second vice-chair for Clifton and was the state committee liaison. She received the Polly Rosenbaum award for the outstanding Democrat of the year in 2017. Marilyn is survived by: her daughters, Roxie Marie Christianson and Rachelle Howard; her sister, Beverly Dalton; and her dear friends, Bobbie and Peggy. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Marjorie; and her husband, Charles Groff, Jr. Marilyn will be laid to rest with her husband, Charles, in the Sheldon Cemetery on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.
