Maria Antunez

Born in Agua Prieta, Mexico on July 4, 1952, and moved to Arizona in 1976, USA after marrying John G. Chacon. She is survived by her 6 children: Maribel Antunez, Marisol Reyes, John Chacon (Brandi), Julie Chacon, Elizabeth Vasquez (Eric) and Veronica Chacon. She is also survived by her current husband of over 20 years, Jesus Villalobos. 

Maria’s children were her lifeline. Raising her children was her full-time job. She taught them many life lessons that they can carry with them for years to come. She was a proud Clifton Trojan parent because all her children attended and graduated from Clifton High School. She was also an American Patriot. She was proud to say she was born on America’s birthday, and she also had a daughter born on Memorial Day and another daughter born on Veterans’ Day. 

She lived a life to serve others and she raised her children right because they each serve in a profession to help others. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Maria was a kind, loving and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched.

Maria will be reunited in Heaven with her family members that preceded her in death: her daughter, Angelica; mother, Julia; brothers, Aurelio and Luis; and a sister.

Maria is survived by: her 6 children; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters; nephews; nieces; and countless friends. We Love You! ¡Siempre estas en nuestros corazones, Cukie!  

A visitation for Maria was conducted on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Vining Funeral Home.
