Manny Medina

Manuel P. Medina, of Safford, entered into the arms of our Lord Friday, February 10, 2023, at his residence with his wife, Tina, at his bedside. He was 81.

Manny was born December 15, 1941, in Gila, New Mexico, to Tereso and Josephine Polanco Medina. He served his country enlisting in the United States Army, being honorably discharged on July 22, 1962. He was then transferred to the Army National Guard of Arizona to complete his service obligation.

Manny loved working on the ranch as a rancher, performing these duties in his younger years. He would later work for Phelps Dodge Mining Corporation and then the Safford High School. Manny would then later work for the Arizona Department of Corrections. He was a hard working man, always providing for his family.

When time permitted, he loved being with is family. Manny met, and later married, Ernestine Ruiz on October 25, 1999. Manny and Tina enjoyed their time together as husband and wife. He loved his children and grandchildren and the oportunity for them to call him grandpa.

Manny is survived by: his loving wife, Tina Medina; his children, George and Sandra; his brother, John (Ida) Medina; his nephews, Martin Jurado, Peter Medina and Johnny Jurado; and his three grandchildren, Dominick, Brooklyn and George.

No services will be conducted per Manny's wishes.
