Mae Griffith

Mae Francis Griffith, age 87, went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of November 30, 2022, with her daughter-in-law, Dawne, by her side.

Mae was born November 12, 1935, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Ruben and Nettie Decker.

Mae then met the love of her life, Hugh Griffith, and they married and had two children, Ruben and Liz.  They were married for 68 years.

Mae loved reading, shopping, doing needlepoint, painting, and playing cards with her best friend, Sherry.  But what she loved the most was spending time with her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who filled her life with love.

Mae was greeted with open arms by: her parents; her first grandson, Jake Griffith; her siblings, Jo Ann Arend and Johnny Decker; and her best friend, Sherry Fredrickson.

She is survived by: her precious husband, Hugh Griffith; children, Ruben and Dawne Griffith, and Liz and J.T. Taralton; her grandchildren, Corey (Sydney), Madison (Jesus), and MacKenzie (Freddie); and great-grandchildren, Julianna, Oliver, and Avianna; and sister, Fay Hammonds and husband Kenneth.

Mae was loved by everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.
