Loveda Ferguson

Mamie Loveda Darlene Pennington Ferguson was born in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Howard and Bessie Bell Pennington. She soon became the oldest to eight brothers and sisters.  Her lifetime of service to family began at home. 

Loveda married John Ferguson. Together they raised five children; Johnie, Marla, Michelle, Kenneth and Rhonda. 

Loveda found happiness in day to day life. She enjoyed reading, traveling, politics, baseball and going out to lunch. Dishes, rocks and seashells are some of the things she liked to collect. Loveda blessed her family with her talents of cooking, decorating, sewing and crocheting. 

Loveda was welcomed into the spirit world on Febuary 16, 2023 by: her parents, Howard and Bessie Bell; her brothers, Marland, Autry and Dale; her sisters, Mary and Wanda; her son, Johnie; and granddaughter Kayla; as well as beloved aunts, uncles and friends. 

She is survived and will be missed by: her children, Marla, Michelle, Kenneth and Rhonda; her siblings, Carolyn, Betty and Gale; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services for Loveda were conducted Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the Central Cemetery.
