Lester David East, 60, of Thatcher, Arizona, passed away May 5, 2018. His friends and family were by his side as he peacefully left this world to be with those he loves on the other side. Lester was born to Edgar and Nora East in Prineville, Oregon, on April 6, 1958. He lived a life full of love and laughter and brought joy to the lives of those who knew him. Lester worked at the ARC Foundation in Safford, Arizona. He participated in the Special Olympics and he loved to go bowling and go on outings with friends and family. Lester enjoyed singing and in his younger years he loved to dance. He also enjoyed doing puzzles and going on walks. Lester will be greatly missed by so many. Lester will be lovingly remembered by: his eight siblings, Mickie Eyre (Ray Eyre), Eddie East, Kathy East, Dianna Sanders (Richard Sanders), Samuel East, Christy Lee (Scott Lee), Tisha Bierman (Chris Bierman) and Will East (Christa DalMolin East). He is also survived by: his aunts uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends that are like family from his group home and day program. Lester was predeceased by: his father, Edgar “Ed”, who passed away in 2010; and his mother, Nora, who passed away in 2014.
