Judy Ann Maughan

June 3, 1947 — March 2, 2022

Judy was born June 3, 1947, in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona. She entered life eternal on March 2, 2022, in Surprise, Maricopa, Arizona. Judy married Paul Edwin Maughan on May 19, 1967, in the Oakland California Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Judy was a very Christ like, sweet, kind, and thoughtful woman. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend. She had a calm, peaceful voice that helped many in times of trial and grief. She had a way of thinking of things the way her Savior would and encouraged others to do the same.

Judy was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years as a temple worker, both in the Mesa and Phoenix Arizona Temples. This brought her so much joy and happiness especially after the passing of her dear sweetheart, Paul. She served in many other capacities in her church service, all of which helped to touch many people’s lives.

Judy had a great love of learning. She took many college courses and enjoyed them all. She also loved learning about gospel principles to have a greater understanding of them, along with learning about her ancestors. She had a great love for family history and felt it helped her in her trials immensely.

She will be dearly missed. We are incredibly grateful for the knowledge that we have of our Heavenly Father’s plan and that we know that this is not really a goodbye. It is more like a “see you later.” We love you and look forward to seeing you again in the life hereafter. We are grateful for your example, which taught us about unconditional love and forever families. All our love Mom, forever and always.

Survived by her children: Eric Maughan (Jamee), Gregory Maughan (Tracie), Darcie Lyon (Richard), Dana Miller (Derek), Paul Maughan (Brittany); grandchildren: Tylor Maughan (Callie), Corey Maughan, Emma Maughan, Michael Maughan (Jessica), Jeremy Maughan (Emily), Michelle Parker (Benjamin), Joshua Maughan (Ainslee), Emilee Lyon, Trenton Miller, Kaydon Miller, Ella Miller, Paisley Maughan; and great-grandchildren: Adilyn Maughan & Kase Maughan.
