Raymond L. Perry, or "JR" as he was known by all, age 61 and a resident of Safford, passed away Monday afternoon, August 20, 2018, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Pops Hot rods and Harleys that was your game, I'm sure in heaven it will all be the same. Hot rods or Harleys, nothing was slow, you loved to go fast, this we all know. Twist that wick you always would say, Pops you do know we will race again someday. We don't know the reason why you had to go. But as in your style you didn't go slow. Now your riding the heavens on that bike black as night, you better believe we will be looking for your lights. When we meet again and it's our time to go, We know we'll se you coming and we know it won't be slow. Hot rods or Harleys that was your game, I'm sure in heaven it will all be the same. Laying down rubber or turning a wrench, all that we ask is you save us a bench. To catch up on talk and the time that we missed. We'll meet with a smile and a big ole Pops hug, we will all laugh when you say lets go cut a rug. Your love was strong and your brotherhood true and it is that love, that will help us all get through. We love you Pops and until we meet again, we will keep you in thought and we will see you then. -Travis Mendell Ride In Peace Pops
