Joseph Miranda, age 60, entered into eternal life Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Safford, Arizona. Joseph was born November 8, 1961, in Bisbee, Arizona, to Margaret and Robert Miranda.
As a young adult, Joseph began working in the Phelps Dodge Mine. He worked 43 years for the company until he retired in May of 2022. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved cooking dinner, hosting BBQs at his house, all while playing his favorite music. He took joy in watching his three daughters and his grandchildren participate in sports.
Joseph had a passion for many things. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who never missed a game. He loved watching and attending NASCAR events. Entering his 1985 Chevy into car shows and winning trophies to add to his collection was a great accomplishment. He loved to fish and often enjoyed camping up in the mountains. His life was fulfilled with great joy and happiness, and he will be missed.
Joseph is survived by: his wife, Jo Ann Miranda; children, Cassandra (Joshua) Hernandez, Erika (Bubba Tate) Miranda, Justine (Rey) Holguin; his four grandchildren, Joseph Hernandez, Jaliyah Hernandez, Amiyah Holguin, and Gianna Tate; his sisters, Patricia (Edmund Merino) Miranda, Leticia (Brian) Sedgeman, and Aurelia (Frank) Maldonado.
Joseph is welcomed into Heaven by: his parents, Margaret and Robert Miranda.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph will be celebrated Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci, Arizona, by Rev. Nathanial Mma. Committal will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A rosary and prayers will be offered Friday, September 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 2, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. (noon), also at the church.
