Jim Beth

April 9, 1959 — August 8, 2021

Jim Beth, a resident of Safford and a veteran of the United States Army, has gone to join that great spirit Army whose footfalls cause no sound. Mr. Beth had aged 62 years and passed away at the Haven of Safford.

Jim Beth was born April 9, 1959, in Racine, Wisconsin. When Jim was four years old his family moved to Tucson, Arizona. He graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1976 and enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a track mechanic, serving two tours in Vietnam. Following an honorable discharge, Jim gained work with the Sheriff’s Department as a truck driver. Soon thereafter, he met the love of his life, Susie, in 1993 and they were later married in 1995. Jim became a father figure to her four children, Leslie, Brad, Brian and Krystal in addition to his children, Jr. and Pauline. Together, the family made their home in Morenci and Safford, as Jim loved the time with his children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Papa”. Jim could often be found out twisting the throttle of his beloved Harley-Davidson. He served as the Second Vice-President of the American Legion Swift-Murphy Post #32 in Safford and Second Vice-President of the American Legion Riders. Jim will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

Jim leaves behind: his beloved wife, Susie; their children, Jr., Pauline, Leslie (Drew), Brad (Jennifer), Brian (Corrina) and Krystal (Eli); seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, Aurora.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 14, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., at Vining Funeral Home's "Chapel of the Valley".
