Gloria Olivia Lopez Armijo, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2022, in the presence of her family, in Sheldon, Arizona, from health complications. She was born June 5, 1938, in Clifton, Arizona, to Maria Lopez and Manuel Vozza.
She married Macedonio “Macy” Armijo on February 2, 1957, in Clifton, Arizona. Gloria lived a full life as a homemaker, Clifton Schools Bus Driver, owner of the Wagon Wheel Bar, and many other endeavors in between. She was indeed a huge presence in the lives of so many bringing so much joy, life, and laughter.
Gloria is preceded in death by: her husband, Macy Armijo; her granddaughter, Doreen Jordan Saiz; sister, Clara Moreno; her brother, Manuel “Kicho” Vozza; her mother, Maria Lopez Vozza; and her father, Manuel Vozza.
She is survived by: her sisters, Rosa Martinez and Sylvia Smith; four children, Evanne Armijo-Herbst, Fidel Armijo, Yolanda Armijo, and Melanie Hoben; her 20 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gloria will be celebrated on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton by Fr. Bosco Ormin.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., also at the church. Lunch will be provided afterwards at Fidel Armijo’s home in Verde Lee.
