Ernest Hernandez

Ernest “Hoss” Hernandez, age 62, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Clifton, Arizona. Hoss was born November 3, 1959 in Houston, Texas, to Horacio Hernandez and Modesta Hinojosa.

At the age of 17, Hoss joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country for seven years. He had a passion for horses and enjoyed participating in rough stock events in his earlier years.

Hoss is survived by: his girlfriend, Alicia Stergion; his father, Horacio Hernandez; siblings, Henry Hernandez, Lisa (John) Rocha, and Yvonne (Fred) Escobedo; children, James (Amanda) Hernandez, Joshua (Cassandra) Hernandez, and Jared (Sarah) Hernandez; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Hoss is preceded in death by: his mother, Modesta Hinojosa Dena.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Hoss will be celebrated Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci, Arizona, by Rev. Nathanial Mma. Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with military honors being conferred by the American Legion Lloyd C. Hill Post #28.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021, a viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., followed by a rosary at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci.
