David Lester Hilker

David Lester Hilker passed away October 31, 2020, at his family home in Globe, Arizona. He was 44. David was born at Gila General Hospital in 1976, proud to be a bicentennial baby, David graduated from Globe High School in 1994 and followed that with several vocational classes. David called Safford his home for a few years, living most of his life in Globe where he was currently residing. He was experiencing some major health concerns the last several years. Throughout his lifetime David enjoyed fishing and hunting along with woodworking, welding, lapidary work and tinkering in general. He had worked in construction before his health deteriorated. David is survived by: his mother, Peggy Hilker, of Globe; and sister, Heather Hilker Bull, of Safford; as well as five nieces and nephews. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and also leaves behind two grieving rescue dogs. David was preceded in death by: his father, Robert Lester Hilker.
