Daniel C. Easley

October 16, 1938 — August 15, 2019

Daniel Curtis Easley was born October 16, 1938 in Silver City, New Mexico. He grew up in the mining town of Mogollon, New Mexico. After high school, Dan served in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge. He then attended Eastern Arizona College and moved to Morenci, Arizona to work at the copper mine. This is where he met the love of his life, Sonnie Johnson. Soon after, they married and raised their family in Morenci before retiring in Safford. Dan worked with Phelps Dodge for 45 years before retiring in 2008. Dan loved the good Lord, spending time with his family, the outdoors, riding bicycles and trains. Our loving father passed August 15, 2019. Dan is survived by: his loving wife, Sonnie, of 52 years; 3 sons, Denny, Murl (Cori) and Paul (Charlotte); ten grandchildren; Rebecca, Paul, Daniel, Christina, Travis, Daniel, Curtis, Kayce, Jaxin and Jerrit; and seven great-grandchildren. He will be forever missed. Private family services for Dan will be conducted at a later date.
