Aurora Flores

Aurora Flores, of Safford, entered into eternal rest in the early hours of Saturday, June 25, 2022, with her family at her side. She was 80.

Aurora was born in Safford to Andres and Juanita Arrellin. Later in life she moved to Phoenix, where she met and married her husband, Ralph Flores. Rory retired from UPS, returning to Safford 14 years ago. She enjoyed her music and barbecuing at home while Ralph did all the cooking. Rory and Ralph were married for 35 years.

She is survived by: her husband, Ralph; two sons, Robert and Anthony; sisters, Mary (Steve) Pickering, and Lupe (Fernando) Lugo; and multiple nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Rory's Life will be conducted Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Vining Funeral Home's "Chapel of the Valley". Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery.

Deepest condolences to the family of Aurora Flores. Her husband Ralph, sisters Lupe and Mary, and her sons Anthony and Robert. I attended Safford high school class of 1960 with my cousin Rory. We remained close throughout the years. I will miss the long chats that we had sometimes lasting for hours. I will miss her silliness and her contagious laughter. It broke my heart when I learned of her Battle is cancer. As we talked one night on the phone she told me she was not afraid that she was ready for whatever plans hour Heavenly Father had for her. What a great spirit she had within her. She had a heart of gold and loved her family deeply. I will miss you my dear cousin. You've earned your wings and now it's time to rest, no more pain. 🙏♥️🙏
