Armando Avalos, Jr., of Safford, entered into rest Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his residence. He was 49.
Armando was born on August 6, 1972, in Morenci, Arizona, to Armando and Yolanda Avalos. Armando spent his life in Morenci, Boise (ID), and Safford. He served others selflessly and provided hope and faith to people. Armando did not need a reason to help anyone—he was a candle lighting another candle.
Armando enjoyed fishing, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, watching Historical Fiction movies, and listening to 80’s rock music. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his children, family and grandchild. Armando was a giving man who made his mark not with grand gestures but by the basic goodness and generosity of his character.
Armando is survived by: his father, Armando Avalos Sr. (Nuria); his four children, Ariana Avalos (Adam), Gabriel Avalos, Alec Avalos (Aleena), Amberlynn Avalos; his sisters, Maria Avalos (Ty), Sarah Boehm (Anthony), Sylvia Brinkley (Brian); his only grandson, Juan Mares; his nieces, Jasmine Mogowski, Sonya Haushalter, and Brittney Morgan; his nephews, Anthony Haushalter, Carl Morgan II; great-nieces and nephews, Charlotte & Jack Mogowski, Scout & Sawyer Neiley, Joseph Hubbard, Bryson, Aubriana, Chance, Issac, Nathan, & Jackson Morgan.
He is preceded in death by: his mother, Yolanda M. Avalos; and his nephew, Joseph Morgan.
Private family services will be conducted Thursday, January 13, 2022.
