Anna Louise Stephens

Anna Louise Stephens, of Safford, passed into the eternities Tuesday morning, October 27, 2020, at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center. Anna was 75. Anna was born in Morenci, Arizona, on June 23, 1945. She was raised in Clifton by her mother and father, Bill and Annie Byrd, along with her brother, Lawrence. Anna worked at Golden Corral for 19 years and was known as “The Hugging Waitress.” She worked at Walmart for some time and made many friends along the way. A Celebration of Anna’s Life will be conducted Saturday, November 7, 2020, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m., at the Graham County Fairgrounds gazebo in Safford. Anna’s family is having a potluck picnic and is inviting anyone who has loved their mother, was touched by her smile and her carefree personality, to come help them celebrate her life and to say goodbye. She loved so many and many loved her.
