Tad Story

Tad Story died November 7, 2017, after a six-and-a-half year battle with ALS, at the age of 45. Tad was a courageous warrior all the way to the end. From the moment he was diagnosed, he decided to continue to live his life to the fullest. He and his family took several trips and went on many adventures for as long as he could. He even went skydiving. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a true man of God who is being rewarded for his good and faithful service. Tad graduated from Silver High School in 1991, and attended New Mexico State University and Western New Mexico University. Tad is preceded in death by: his grandparents, Jack and Sarah Story, Art and Inez Sutton; and his aunt, Roberta Vierthaler. He is survived by: his wife, Karen; son, Jonah; daughter, Hannah; mother, Dink Gutierrez; and sister, Brandi Saenz; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by his many friends and family members. Memorial services for Tad will be celebrated at the Safford High School football stadium on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.

Tad, I remember telling you that I had a girl I wanted you to meet. Lol you were hesitant (because lets face it, I had been trying to set you up since you moved in next door, Lol) You gave in, Karen was perfect for you. You fell in love instantly! Im so glad God brought you two together... Im grateful that we had the privilege of knowing you. You will be missed my friend... You were loved by so many. May you dance, sing and love like you were meant to do. God has gained a beautiful angel. Love your tad.
