Patsy A. Urrea

June 26, 1935 — June 21, 2019

Patricia “Patsy” Urrea was born in Solomonville to Feliciano and Belen Talavera on June 26, 1935. She is the oldest of 3 daughters. Patsy attended grade school in Solomon and later graduated from Safford High School. Patsy had a love for life. She enjoyed traveling and after her graduation, she moved to Los Angeles. She would then move back home to marry her high school sweetheart. She raised five children: Bonnie (Dale) of Peoria, Danny (Debbie) of Mesa, Annette (David) of Safford, Rochelle (Bill) of Tucson and Chris (Tanya) of Safford. Patsy also had: fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; her loving sisters, Ida (Fred) and Emma (Louie); and multiple nieces and nephews. Patsy loved camping and fishing with her family. She loved bowling and would travel with her bowling team all over. She continued her travels throughout her older years, on cruises to Alaska and the Bahamas, two of her favorites. A quote to honor our mother, "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!" Patsy entered into eternal rest June 21, 2019, at the age of 83.
