Martha E. Roybal

Martha E. Roybal, a resident of York Valley, entered into eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, December 1, 2020, in Tempe, following a lengthy illness, with her family at her side. Martha was 74. Martha was born on January 10, 1946, to Jesus and Cruzita Quinonez. She was the oldest of eight children, born in Morenci and raised in Clifton. On July 21, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward R Roybal, Sr. They were married for 58 years and together they were blessed with four children. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling and baking. She loved to dance, listen to music and play bingo. She was also a great cook. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was a loving and giving person who was well known and had many friends. Martha is survived by: her husband, Edward, Sr.; her children ,Edward, Jr., Elizabeth and Sandra (Catarino); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, five brothers and many nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by: her parents, Jesus and Cruzita Quinonez; her son, Raymond; and a grandson, Angel. She will be truly missed and forever in our hearts. A Mass of Christian Burial for Martha will be celebrated Friday morning, December 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Rev. Nathaniel Mma. Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery A Rosary and prayers will be offered Friday morning, December 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church led by Ron Deblasi. The family will receive friends Friday morning, December 18, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mother was a beautiful soul she will be missed. Had the pleasure of knowing her for 30 years, she was always so pleasant to spend time with. Always happy with her kids and grandkids by her side. She was always so kind and so full of life. RIP my dear friend love you
