Kirk Worthey

Danny Kirk Worthey, “Kirk,” 55, of Safford, passed away February 28, 2019, at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center, from a massive heart attack. He is survived by: his beloved wife, Sylvia Worthey, who was at his side; his mother, Barbara (“Lynnie”) Dozier Morgan, of Texas; his father, Danny Maurice Worthey, of Texas; son, Devin Worthey, of Texas; Cindal Aranda, of Safford; AJ Skinner, of Taylor; Ilene Butts, of Safford; numerous grandchildren, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins; his childhood barrel racing horse, Bee Bop; and his fur baby, Biscuit. Kirk was a long-term employee at Freeport and known as Mr. Clean. Also, being a lifelong Trekkie fan, he was widely known as Captain Kirk. He loved rock hounding, dump-digging treasure hunts and, above all, loved tormenting his grandchildren. Light a Candle

I worked with Kirk when I got hired on in the late 90's , he loved sneaking over into the secondary and scarring me. (Little Brat) he had a wonderful sense of humor. You will be dearly missed. R.I.P.

I have spent some really great times with you and Sylvia. That little pool out back was a blast! I love you brother. Perhaps we shall meet again in another life. Blessings on your new journey.
