Edmundo Cano

Everyone knew Edmundo Cano as Cano. Cano was born January 3, 1943, to Michaela Cano. He was raised by his mother who lived in El Paso, Texas, and his grandparents who lived in Chihuahua, Mexico. When Cano became of age he moved to El Paso, Texas, where he worked as a carpenter and a cement finisher. Cano also enjoyed working on his vehicles as a mechanic. He was a jack of all trades. Cano was born into the Catholic religion. Even though Cano didn’t practice his religion regularly he had his relationship with God. Cano has a candle that he has burning and never lets burn out. Cano has 12 kids, three of them are his step children. He loved his kids very much. He even loved his pets. Cano met Patricia Cano in 1995 and married shortly after. He helped Patricia raise her 3 kids in Duncan and built the home they resided in. Cano passed away in his home from multiple myeloma Sunday, October 25, 2020, at 11:09 p.m, with his wife, children and grandchildren at his bed. Cano is survived by: his wife of 25 years, Patricia; and his children; daughter, Elizabeth Galàn married to Jorge Galàn with their children, Jorge Jr., Elisabet and Eliana, son, Victor Edmundo Cano with his children, Victor, Edmundo, Norma and Cristy, son, Jaime Cano with his children, Jaime Jr., Daniel, Roman, Monica and Marisol, daughter, Sonia Rosales married to Humberto Rosales with their children, Ivette and Jose, daughter, Maribel Rodriguez married to Rafael Rodriguez with their children, Melissa, Nicole and Rafael Jr., daughter, Maria Olivas married to Luis Olivas with their children, Ruben, Luis, Danilo and Elizabeth, daughter, Bianca Cano married to Ruben Scott with their children, Daniel, Kaileen, Olivia, Marcus and Ryan, son, Edmundo Cano Jr. with his children, Adrain, Taylor, Micaela and Amelia, son, Javier Cano married to Karla Cano with their children, Emmanuel, Ivanna, Javier and Jesus, and his 35 great-grandchildren; and his step-children, Christina Gutierrez and her daughter, Lisa Gutierrez and her three children and Alfred Gutierrez and his two children. A Mass of Christian Burial for Cano will be celebrated Friday, October 30, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Mission in Duncan by Rev. Nathaniel Mma. Committal will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. A Rosary and prayer offering for Cano will be prayed Friday, October 30, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Mission in Duncan. A gathering of family and friends will be conducted Friday morning, October 30, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., also at St. Mary's Catholic Mission in Duncan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC guidelines will be followed including wearing masks and social distancing.
