Life Legacy
Noel Burke Whitmire, 85, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, in his home, with his loved by his side.
Noel was born July 12, 1924, in Bisbee. At the age of 18, he met Thelma and claimed her as his wife. Soon after the wedding, he was drafted into the military and spent three years in the service.
Noel, Thelma and a 3-month-old daughter returned home in the spring of 1946. Shortly after, they were blessed with two sons. The family resided in Safford and raised their children.
Noel enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He spent many hours in his garage tinkering around, fixing this and that. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone he has touched.
