Biography

Lamell was born February 17, 1965 in Safford, Arizona to Reay Verdell and Joy Angle Layton. He passed away at his home February 17, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona.

Lamell grew up enjoying the independent and adventurous life of a country boy. He received his education in the Thatcher School District and Eastern Arizona College. At an early age it was apparent Lamell had a natural ability of operating equipment. During the time Lamell was in school, he worked for several local farmers quickly becoming a skilled operator. Lamell moved to the Phoenix area in his early 20’s to further develop his talent. Lamell worked for several construction companies operating any and all equipment. Lamell was a highly skilled operator and supervisor.

Lamell loved the out-of-doors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding all types of off-road vehicles with his many friends and family members. There was never a dull moment to be in his company.
